Here comes devlog number 3! 🎮 Did you miss me? Because I've missed you all! 😁
Today we'll talk about the exciting changes that have appeared in the game over the last few weeks. We have quite a few new features, so buckle up! 🚀
The last few weeks weren't just about new weather systems and day-night cycle. It was also about intensively refining existing systems, such as the biome generation system. 🗺️
Remember when I wrote about the stable version in the previous devlog? Well... oops! I somewhat destabilized it and completely rebuilt it! 🫢 But don't worry, it was worth it!
Now the world is much more natural - built from biomes that tiles grow from, rather than tiles awkwardly trying to pretend to be biomes. It's like the difference between original Lego and a market knockoff - now we have the former! 😎
Anyway, the system works much better than before! It's more predictable, more efficient, and most importantly - it creates more beautiful landscapes for our werewolf! What more could you want? 🐺
A completely new system has been created that will influence what happens in the world. Each subsequent game element will be able to use the time flow system, which will open up a ton of new possibilities for us! ⌛
The first beneficiary of this system is, of course, the day and night cycle! The system uses the game-processed time to change what we see on the map - from bright day 🌞 to dark night 🌚. And everything changes smoothly, creating amazing sunrises and sunsets!

This newly created system is also based on time variability. Each new day brings a new forecast for the entire world. And what's more - forecasts can change throughout the week! Because, you know, they're just forecasts, not weather guarantees! 😜
At the start of the game, our hero is greeted with a forecast of 7 days of rain and storms. It shows how important our Warmir is to the deities as he maintains balance in the world... ⚡ Or maybe they just have a sense of humor!
However, the coolest thing about this system is that the weather adapts to biomes! You can notice that the same rain in the desert turns into a sandstorm, and in the mountains, it can turn into a blizzard. Imagine all these combinations! Our beloved Warmir will have to prepare for every eventuality! 🌨️
And now for the most important news... The first version of the game is now available! Alpha 0.1.0 is landing on your computers right now! 🕹️
This is really a big moment for me - after a few months of work, planning, and coding, I can finally give you something you can play! The build is of course very basic, but it shows the direction we're heading in.
If you want to test the game, you'll find it in the new "Releases" menu tab. I would be enormously grateful for any opinion, suggestion, or bug report. After all, you, the players, are the best testers! 🔍
